Jeff Hunt

Sr. Managing Director

Mr. Hunt serves as Sr. Managing Director and has over 24 years of collective financial services experience including 17 years of investment banking experience advising public and private companies with accessing capital markets, merger & acquisition advisory, and general strategic advisory services.

Prior to joining Skyway, Mr. Hunt served as EVP, Chief Strategy Officer of BayFirst Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: BAFN) and its commercial banking subsidiary, BayFirst National Bank where he was instrumental in helping to drive the strategic direction of BayFirst.  Mr. Hunt led BayFirst through multiple capital raises, managed investor relations, directed its public listing on Nasdaq, led its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) program, and was one of the leaders in advancing BayFirst’s technology strategy, while also overseeing the risk management departments. Immediately prior to serving as Chief Strategy Officer for BayFirst, Mr. Hunt served as its SVP, SBA Lending specializing in sourcing and originating government guaranteed loans throughout the United States primarily for business acquisitions across a wide range of industries.

Prior to BayFirst Financial Corp., Mr. Hunt served as President of Kendrick Pierce & Co., a leading investment bank serving financial institutions primarily in the Southeast.

Mr. Hunt is a co-founder, managing member, and investment committee member of Celeridem Capital Management, LLC, a fintech focused investment firm launched in 2016. Since 2018, Mr. Hunt has served on the board of directors of Florida Business Development Corp., one of the nation’s most active SBA 504 lenders. Additionally, Mr. Hunt is an advisory board member for Allison Fintech Corp., a Tampa-based financial technology company.

Mr. Hunt received a B.S. in Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology with minor areas of study in Earth and Atmospheric Science and Industrial Psychology. Mr. Hunt is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Principal and has Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.
