Skyway is pleased to announce Jeff Hunt has joined its Investment Banking team as Managing Director, expanding Skyway Capital Markets’ financial institutions and financial technology practices.
Mr. Hunt returns to investment banking after spending the last ten years in various operational roles in the financial services and energy sectors. Prior to joining Skyway, Mr. Hunt served as EVP, Chief Strategy Officer of BayFirst Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: BAFN) and its commercial banking subsidiary, BayFirst National Bank where he was instrumental in helping to drive the strategic direction of BayFirst. Mr. Hunt led BayFirst through multiple capital raises, managed investor relations, directed its public listing on Nasdaq, led its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) program, and was one of the leaders in advancing BayFirst’s technology strategy, while also overseeing the risk management departments.
In addition to the operational and leadership experience Mr. Hunt brings to Skyway, he will draw upon his 17 years of prior investment banking experience with Kendrick Pierce & Co. where he completed hundreds of capital and M&A advisory transactions primarily in the financial services sector alongside Skyway’s CEO, Russ Hunt.

Mr. Hunt is a co-founder, managing member, and investment committee member of Celeridem Capital Management, LLC, a fintech focused investment firm. Mr. Hunt serves on the board of directors of Florida Business Development Corp., one of the nation’s most active SBA 504 lenders. Additionally, Mr. Hunt is an advisory board member for Allison Fintech Corp., a Tampa-based financial technology company. Mr. Hunt received a B.S. in Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Principal and has Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.
