Jack K. Murray III is currently a partner of Murray-Bertron, LLC, which invests in companies in the information technology, healthcare, business services, lodging, retail brand, temporary storage, and the rural development space.
Jack has launched and grown multiple successful healthcare and business services companies. He was the co-founder and CEO/Vice Chairman of Advantec, a human capital management firm focused on delivering HR, payroll, benefit and loss control services to small and mid-sized companies. Prior to Advantec, Jack served as co-founder, EVP and CFO for SHPS, a major leader in outsourced care management services. Prior to SHPS, Jack was EVP and CFO of HealthPlan Services Corp., the nation’s largest provider of small group benefits administration. He has been involved in the acquisition of the following healthcare companies: Consolidated Group Benefits, Harrington Benefit Services, OMS, Centra Benefits, the Prudential Service Bureau, Medirisk, American Benefit Plan Administrators, Health International and BeHealth Solutions. Prior to his career in healthcare, he was President and CEO of a federally insured commercial bank and worked for the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Company.
He earned his B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia.
