John Atkins serves as Vice President of Business Development supporting all industry sectors.

Prior to his tenure at Skyway, Mr. Atkins held positions including Legislative Aide to the House Majority Office and the Senate Appropriations Chairman in the Florida House and Senate. Transitioning from his service in Florida’s political landscape, he relocated to Chicago, where he began his Commercial Real Estate Investment Sales career, initially as an analyst and later as a broker specializing in the Midwest region. John orchestrated over 25 transactions throughout his tenure with a cumulative enterprise value exceeding $500 million.

While at Skyway, Mr. Atkins has been instrumental in helping private and family-owned businesses understand and curate their capital and M&A needs through relationship building, education, and execution.

John graduated with degrees in Social Science and Entrepreneurship from Florida State University. Mr. Atkins currently holds a Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license, in addition to being a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois and a real estate sales agent in Florida.
