John Atkins serves as Sr. Vice President of Business Development supporting all industry sectors.

Prior to his tenure at Skyway, Mr. Atkins held positions including Legislative Aide to the House Majority Office and the Senate Appropriations Chairman in the Florida House and Senate. Transitioning from his service in Florida’s political landscape, he relocated to Chicago, where he began his Commercial Real Estate Investment Sales career, initially as an analyst and later as a broker specializing in the Midwest region. John orchestrated over 25 transactions throughout his tenure with a cumulative enterprise value exceeding $500 million.

While at Skyway, Mr. Atkins has been instrumental in helping private and family-owned businesses understand and curate their capital and M&A needs through relationship building, education, and execution.

Mr. Atkins graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Social Science and Entrepreneurship. He currently holds the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license and the FINRA Series 79 investment banking registration.
